Our scientific approach
Everything we offer is built on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior.
Everything we offer is grounded in science
At Atiyaf we don’t rely on generic advice or random exercises.
We rely on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior, and on assessment and data to choose goals and track progress.
We also make sure the interventions and activities we use are based on recognised scientific methods, and are adjusted to the child’s needs and follow-up results.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?
Applied Behavior Analysis is a scientific approach that helps us understand behaviour, what influences it, and how a child learns new skills. In practice we ask questions such as:
That is why the plan relies on clear goals and trackable data — not on impressions alone.
- What do we want the child to learn?
- Why does this goal matter?
- How will we teach it?
- What kind of help does the child need?
- How will we fade that help?
- What motivates them to learn?
- And how will we know they have made progress?
What is Verbal Behavior?
Verbal Behavior is a way of understanding communication by the function it serves. What matters is not only that a child knows a word, but that they know when and how to use communication for a real purpose, such as:
At Atiyaf we explain these concepts to parents in practical language — the aim is not to memorise terms, but to use them to help the child communicate more effectively.
- Requesting what they want.
- Naming things.
- Imitating sounds or words.
- Answering questions.
- Interacting with others.
